Quick Checklist for New Faculty Arriving into La Paz

■       Copy of Passport: must be valid for at least two years from beginning of contract (August 2026) for each member of your family

■       Bring Vaccination Records (faculty and children)

■       Don’t lose baggage receipts/tickets…you’ll need them in order to leave the airport with your bags

■       At least $5 USD to tip airport porter to assist with bags

■       Keep and safeguard customs forms for entry at airport.

■       An unlocked mobile phone

■       Copy of Medical Clearance to live at altitude

■       Yellow Fever vaccination certificate (required for all travelers)

■       Birth Certificates – adults: one original per adult. Apostille not required.

■       Birth Certificates – children: two apostilled original copies per child. Apostille must be obtained before travel.

■        Letter of Invitation 

■       Bank Statement / Proof of Economic Solvency: one per contracted faculty member (no older than 2 months). If spouses share one account, one joint statement is accepted.

Once you get established in La Paz you will also need:

■       Transcripts (faculty and children)

■       Voided check (for banking purposes)

■       Teaching Certificate

■       Copy of Diploma of highest degree earned
