Quick Checklist for New Faculty Arriving into La Paz

• Copy of Passport: must be valid for at least one year from beginning of contract (August 2026) for each member of your family 

• Bring Vaccination Records (faculty and children)

• Don't lose baggage receipts/tickets...you'll need them in order to leave the airport with your bags

• At least $5 USD to tip airport porter to assist with bags

• Keep and safeguard customs forms for entry at airport. 

• An unlocked mobile phone

• Police Record Report- from your last home of record 

• Copy of Medical Clearance to live at altitude 

Once you get established in La Paz you will also need:

• Apostilled Birth Certificates (faculty and children)

• Official transcripts (faculty and children)

• Voided check (for banking purposes)

• Teaching Certificate

• Copy of Diploma of highest degree earned
