New Members of the American Educational Association (ACS Calvert) Staff
Welcome to the American Cooperative School of La Paz!
ACS is a non-profit PK-12 international school composed of a caring community of educators serving the La Paz community for 70 years. Supported, in part, by the US Department of Overseas Schools, ACS offers an American standards-based curriculum. We collaborate around a mission to challenge and inspire students to be critical thinkers, lifelong learners and responsible global citizens.
We offer an excellent college preparatory American and international education that enables our graduates to enter their top choice universities in the United States, Canada, Europe and Latin America. It is our goal that each of our students acquire the knowledge and skills and dispositions that will allow them to succeed in college and beyond. We achieve this by hiring a world-class faculty that engages students in the learning process and delivers a broad-based curriculum. Our program includes rigorous academic study, pursuit of the arts, athletics and wellness and involvement in a robust extracurricular offer including student-driven clubs and an extensive community service program.
This orientation guide contains useful information about the American Cooperative School and living in La Paz.
